unique id
Unique QR Code for every product
Traceability, authentication, and product records
unique id
Every product is assigned a unique QR Code, creating its own digital identity. It is widely used for product traceability, anti-counterfeiting authentication, product lifecycle management, and brand engagement.
Applications in Packaging Printing
Meei Jeng Packaging provides Unique ID printing solutions for brand owners, helping establish complete product identification and anti-counterfeiting systems.
- Each package is printed with a unique QR Code.
- Each QR Code is registered in the brand owner's cloud database.
- Consumers scan the QR Code for instant authentication.
- If the same QR Code is repeatedly scanned within a short period or from different locations, the system detects potential counterfeit risks and immediately issues an alert.
This solution is widely adopted in industries with high-value products that are vulnerable to counterfeiting, including cosmetics, health supplements, pharmaceuticals, alcoholic beverages, luxury goods, and consumer electronics.
Traceability
Product traceability is one of the most common applications of the Unique ID system. Each product carries a dedicated QR Code that records manufacturing information for fast tracking and verification.
Each QR Code can contain:
- Production Date
- Production Time
- Machine ID
- Operator
- Shift
Dynamic Authentication
Displaying a different message with every scan is not the definition of anti-counterfeiting—it is one implementation of dynamic authentication. The real foundation lies in assigning every product a unique identifier (Unique ID) and using a backend system to verify authenticity and manage scan records. Based on each scan's time, location, frequency, and history, the system returns different authentication results.
For example
- First Scan : "Authentic Product – First Verification."
- Second Scan : "This product has already been verified once."
- Multiple Repeated Scans ( e.g. the tenth scan ) : "Abnormal repeated scan detected. Please contact customer service." This may indicate a potential counterfeit product.
Through dynamic authentication, brands can monitor abnormal scanning activities in real time, reduce counterfeit risks, improve product security, and strengthen consumer confidence.
